Shelby Forest is a small state park in the northwest corner or Shelby County, TN. Shelbyforest.net is hosted out of the Cross home on the edge of the park. Yep, your reading this right off of Steve's computer. Mostly, the primary website is just a Christmas Card type update of what the family has been up to lately.
Thanks for visiting!

I'm 45 years old. I work in the office of the Shelby County Assessor as Director of Information Technology. I coached baseball every year for over 15 years. It's nice the kids are old enough that I don't have to do that anymore. You can see me here with Steve's team's ace pitcher Jamie Wyatt from the 1998 season. I'm is a Capt. Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and ride in the Motor Division. I was a partner in a Piper Cherokee 180 airplane for a couple of years (Seen here at Reelfoot Lake with son Steve) that I flew for a hobby. I sold that in February of 1999. It was fun but we wanted to pursue more family oriented stuff. I got my instrument rating in November of 1996. I still ride motorcycles for fun (as well as for the Sheriff's Office) and own a 2002 Harley-Davidson Ultra-Classic. Here's a picture of our son Matt with our old Fat Boy.

Renee is still 29 years old. (No update required). She is an elder on session at the West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church where the family attends. She works as Director of Customer Service at The Milton Sternberger Company. They are a packaging company and she now knows more about boxes than we ever thought she would. She doesn't like Steve working as a deputy, flying airplanes or riding his motorcycle. She says he likes danger too much. She could be right.

Nikki is 24 years old and graduated Millington Central High School. The second picture is of her and her youth pastor at the time of the photo. She works now at the office of Bob Patterson, Shelby County Trustee as an investment processor. She lives with her Husband, Mike Pindell. I'm working on trying to get a picture of him.
Steve is 19 years old and a sophomore at Lambuth University. He plays quarterback for the football team and pitches for the baseball team. He's going to move to wide receiver at my urging as he has great hands. He can be seen here in a picture from the seventh grade. Here he is at homecoming at EE Jeter School where he was elected to the homecoming court (with close friend). He was also elected "Mr. Jeter" in the eighth grade. His team won the Memphis city league - Regular Season and Tournament for baseball in 1998. He broke his shoulder in 2000 and we were pretty worried about his sports but it looks like he's 100% and throwing hard for baseball season. Here's his X-Ray.

Matt is 16 years old and in the 11th grade. He is also playing baseball for the Millington Trojans Baseball Team. He pitches and plays shortstop and second base. He is the last one to be driving so I guess we're about done with that.
